The Association for Real Estate and Tourism Development, in the Northeast of Brazil – ADIT NORDESTE – is a non-profit organization founded by a select group of businessmen, based on the needs for regional representation, to raise funds for tourism and real estate investments in the Northeast region.
The association involves all those who work with the entire productive chain in this sector, including hotels, real estate developers, construction companies, law offices, architects, consultants and financial institutions, thus, establishing a link between the established Brazilian companies and the rest of the world. This way, they provide guidance and help to Brazilian and foreign businessmen on secure and profitable business.
ADIT main activities involve the participation in international investment shows and events, as well as Purchaser and Image projects that bring investors, hotel chains, realtors and international journalists to the Northeast to provide excellent results in the promotion of the region.
Besides, the association has held workshops and technical visits abroad, representing an opportunity to promote the Northeast as an investment destination and for Brazilian businessmen to live the reality of this market and other international experiences.
In order to conduct its activities, the association has substantial institutional support from the Government and a variety of other bodies, suck as, the Investment and Export promotion Agency – APEX Brazil, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Brazilian Chamber for the Construction Industry – CBIC, and others.
ADIT Board of Directors includes a President, Vice-presidents and an Audit Committee. The current president is a businessman from Alagoas, Felipe Cavalcante. The vice-presidency and the audit committee members are distributed among the states of Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte and Sergipe.
