Interest in being a candidate was demonstrated this week through a letter from the secretary of tourism of Ceará. The official announcement for the event’s host city will be made during the VII International Real Estate and Tourism Investment meeting in Florianópolis.
The State of Ceará is a candidate to host ADIT Invest 2011 (previous Nordeste Invest, which had its name altered due to ADIT’s nationalization). The official release was made by secretary of tourism for the state, Bismark Maia, who sent a letter to ADIT last week showing interest in hosting the event next year.
In the document, Maia stated that the State Government would like to support and sponsor the event. For him, the biggest event in real estate and tourism investments in Brazil is a great opportunity to attract investments to the State. “We’re well aware of the importance of hosting an event such as ADIT Brasil Invest. In the last years, Ceará has been consolidated as a tourist destination, due to its governmental policies towards the high class sector. The decision to make our State available to ADIT to host this event is so that we can attract investments to the State”, declared the secretary of State tourism.
The President of ADIT, Felipe Cavalcante, was happy with Ceará’s interest in hosting the event. “It will be gratifying for ADIT to host ADIT Brasil Invest 2011 in Fortaleza before going to other states after ADIT’s nationalization. The State has potential to attract quality investments”, he declared.
For vice-president of ADIT, Eugênio Montenegro, hosting an event at this level will bring benefits for the State. “Ceará always wanted to host the event and now it is coming at the most opportune moment, seeing as our state will be one of the host cities for World Cup 2014. And we also have to give credit to ADIT’s State Advisor, Rui Castelo Branco, who paved the way for the state to host the event. All of ADIT’s Associate members in Ceará are rooting to be a host. Including, the president of Sinduscon – CE, Roberto Sérgio de Oliveira, who has also guaranteed their full support towards the entity for the event”, concluded Montenegro.
