During expansion, Starwood to be present at Nordeste Invest
One of the largest hotel chains in the world, with 982 properties in more than 100 countries, Starwood Hotels & Resorts will be present at Nordeste Invest 2010, from the 10th to 12th of May in the city of Natal. Ricardo Suarez, vice-president of Development, will be one of the panelists at the event’s International Conference and is expected to speak about existing investment opportunities for hotel groups in Brazil and Starwood’s plans for Brazil included in their global expansion project

ADIT announces speakers for Nordeste Invest 2010
Pierre Charalambides from Dolphin Capital Partners and Charles Bohl, from the University of Miami will participate as speakers during Nordeste Invest’s fifth edition, to be held between the 10th and 12th of May at the Natal Convention Center, (www.nordesteinvest.com). Similar to last year, this year’s edition will also include the Business Round, International Conference and Exhibition. Grupo Vila Gale has already confirmed and will be represented by Jorge Rebelo de Almeida, President of the Administrative Council.

Nordeste Invest receives first confirmations
Vila Galé is the first international hotel chain to confirm their presence at Nordeste Invest 2010, in Natal on the 10th, 11th, and 12th of May. The president of the administrative counsel, Jorge Rebelo de Almeida, will be one of the speakers at the event, the most important occasion for real estate and tourism investments in Brazil. Rebelo will participate in a panel discussing tourism investments in Brazil.

Registrations for Preparing Projects to Attract Real Estate Investments have already begun. The course aim is for developers, contractors, real estate agencies and executives of the sector and those who wish to have international partnerships. The purpose of the course is to equip executives so that they can develop projects according to the international market’s demands. “In the past years, we noticed that Brazilian companies had good projects, but not all attended to the investors’ presentation standards, so that it impeded them from furthering any business”, highlighted Danilo Canuto, executive director of ADIT.

ADIT’s executive director, Peixoto Accyoli, will participate on the 14th in the 2nd South American Hotel Investment Conference (SAHIC) at Hotel Sofitel Compacabana in Rio de Janeiro.

University of Miami welcomes ADIT
Around 40 people including architects, urbanists and students participated in ADIT’s presentation at the University of Miami, which took place last Friday (11). Roberto Carlos Lopes, vice president of ADIT, has an hour-long presentation about the Brazilian Northeast’s real estate market panorama, and ADIT’s experience in promoting the region.
